I came upon this movie on account of it being directed by Aneesh Chaganti, who is an Indian. Boy, it was so good that it probably is one of the best movies I have seen this year across Hollywood, Bollywood, and Tollywood.
The movie shows the struggle of a father trying to find clues about his missing daughter. While the plot seems like Taken, the major difference is that the dad uses the social network to track her down. What’s even better is that the entire movie happens through computer screens. You don’t see a single person out of screen.
And the best part is the detailing. For example, the earlier years of Margot’s life are captured through a desktop running Windows OS, whereas the teenage Margot’s life is on a Mac and iPhone. The particularly detailed sequence where David opens Facebook and learns about his daughter’s friends is super realistic in every sense.
All in all, a great movie. Don’t miss it.
